Sorry I have not written in a while, I have been busy with school, but I did find something that inspired me to write today, so thank you, Mrs. Shackley! The sign said "No one can do everything, but everyone can do something." What this means to me is that we can't get all this money all by ourselves.
We are going to need some help and that is were you come in, even if you can just give a little, God will use that. A few days ago we took our savings, prayed over it, and sent it off. Our goals for helping in Uganda are big though, and we need help.
My Mom told us that God will multiply our money. That this is just one seed we planted. Now we just have to patiently wait.
I just want to say that us going to Africa is not going change everything. Only God can do that but if every one does a little to help it will make a difference. Five dollars can heal a kid in Africa from Malaria or get a toy for a kid that will always makes them smile. Simple things mean so much to these children.
Chloe, I love reading about the lessons you have learned from our time in Africa. You're exactly right- we can't do it all, but we can do something. I've been so encouraged by your family giving it "all away"! I'm leaving Monday to head back to Africa for about 21 months, and while I know I can't change the world, I know I can change someone's world. Our job isn't to change the whole world on our own- but to simply be obedient with the seed God has given us to plant! Thanks for the reminder that every seed matters :) ~Ashley
ReplyDeleteThank you for reminding me that every little thing I do, DOES MATTER! It's hard learning that I can not do everything, but I can do something! You and your family are an inspiration for how to live and give freely to God! :) You are extraordinary Chloe!
